Am I the only one that doesn't like movies?

We rented & watched "I am legend" last night. I hated it, my stomach was in knots, I was ready to puke when he had to kill his dog. The monsters were so freaking creepy.
I can't understand how that is enjoyable.
Sometimes we'll try to watch comedies, and I usually find them too stupid to hold my attention.
I feel bad for my DH, he likes movies & I just don't.
Am I a weirdo?

I wasn't too impressed with I Am Legend either. But it didn't gross me out really. I don't choose scary movies just to be scared but I liken that to a roller coaster. Sometimes being scared is the thrill of it.

All those scary/gory movies are not my thing. And I don't like the REALLY stupid comedies. I like smart comedies most of the time. The last one that had me laughing my @ss off was Just Friends.

While I wasn't impressed with "I am Legend" either, theres nothing in this world that beats a really GOOD movie every now & then.

Im sure once you have seen one, you will feel different.

I hate to go to the movies or rent a movie...must be the Adult ADD they just dont hold my attention.

I don't really like them much either. If I watch one I just fall asleep. I am really picky about which movies I like to watch.

ok, I feel better. I'm not alone.
There are classic movies I've loved, like titanic for example but for the most part I just can't get into it.
I really loved when my kids were little, I always loved going to see Disney movies with them.

Nope.........I think the last time I went to the movies I was a teenager....Luckily, DH isn't a fan either.....

Could care less about movies... half the time they stink and they are long to sit through.
I'd rather watch a TV show...

there is nothing like sitting in a dark movie theather, with a bucket of popcorn watching a good movie!!



I go in phases though....my DH and I will rent a ton of movies and/or go to the moveis like eveyweekend, and then like now, we havent been to the movies in weeks!!

My husband has been to a movie theatre twice in all his 40 years. He might watch one at home but VERY rarely.

I on the other hand LOVE movies!

I love movies but I am very picky about them. I hate sitting there for 90 minutes or longer for dumb movies. I have walked out of them more times than I think I should have to.

Most movies nowadays are over hyped, and generally not worth seeing, especially when it costs over $10 a ticket. I really only go if it's a group event if that's the only way to see friends that normally don't hang out. I'll also go if the movie looks appealing, but that's rare. Usually, I just stay home and watch tv or go on the computer.

I hate going to the movies. If I wanna watch one I wanna do it cuddled on my couch or bed.
I think maybe in the past year we rented 2 movies, 1 of which was this weekend!!

no, i'm the same way...
there are very few movies worthy of my time- there are so many other things I'd rather do for 2 hours or so- sitting in front of a movie that is "eh" isn't one of them....

I hate movies, there are a few select movies i will watch more than once.
but i am so particular, i hate going to the movie theater
The last time i was there was for the devil wears prada, love the book, and have seen the movie like 40 times already
and the next time i go will be to see Sex and the city.

I HATE MOVIES. My poor DH barely sees any b/c of me.

I just don't find them entertaining. If I like any, they have to be very cheesy comedies, that keep me entertained with humor and quick wit. I can't stand dramas, long drawn out movies, ridiculous unrealistic plots, gorey, violent, traumatic, etc. I just find them so unrealistic, I find myself commenting at how ridiculous such and such is. I am horrible person to watch movies with. I usually hate movies others love. I have always been like this. I have never seen Ferris Bueller's Day off in entirety, along with many other movies others have seen repeatedly.

I just can't focus for that long.....it is sheer tortue to my eyes. I thought I was a freak, glad to know I am not alone.

our DH's can go to the movies together & we can watch HGTV
