What is an ultra-screen?
I read that some of you had this at about 12 weeks? When i had my ds I do not think I had this, I only had that special blood work done and a Level 2. Maybe it is a new test. Last time I was pregnant was 2003.

The do a sonogram and bloodwork to determine your chances of the baby having DS and Trisomy 18.

a ultrascreen is a test where they take that and the blood test together and come up gentically with what range u fall into for a downs baby or a genetic problem/
Its like a sono I believe.
It has false positives, then again alot of tests do.
that being said..alot of people such as me..have it done to avoid a amnio.
Supposedly..that with a nuchal fold test and a blood test will give u a inkling of a problem.

nuchal translucency....ok i read about this before, I just never heard it called an ultra screen. Thanks!!

i also did not know what the lif ladies were talking about for awhile, because my hospital called it the "sequential test."
