At the beginning
At the beginning how many sono/ultra sounds did you get done.
I was seeing an RE and I had my last one at 7 wks.. now I have to wait until my ultrascreening when I am 13 weeks to get another one.
Yes I am seeing my OB one week before that but it seems so long, or am I just nuts?

Re: At the beginning
the waiting between sonos is the hardest part!!!
it is normal to not get another sono until 13 weeks though (ultrascreen)

i had one at 6W , then have one at 12W..which is the ultrascreen..
but i did have one in between , only because i had a scare, so i went in. otherwise.. just the 2

Re: At the beginning
i had a sono at 8 weeks and an ultrascreen at 12 weeks - and i also had a quick sono with my dr at 12 weeks. i will have another at 20 weeks for the level II, and i think that's it unless i need a growth sono.
is it weird that i really don't mind? i loved having sonos in the beginning to make sure everything was ok but now that i feel the baby (every once in a while) it doesn't bother me as much.
ETA: it's totally normal to have a long wait in between the first and second sonos

Re: At the beginning
I had one at 6w2d to confirm the pregnancy, then at 8 w5 days so that they could confirm what they confirmed on the 6 week one. Then I just had one at 12 weeks. I will also have one at 14 weeks 5 days to absolutley make sure nothing is wrong with this baby.
But I think they are being cautious with sonos for me and giving me anything I want. lol.

Re: At the beginning
I had a sono at 7W after 8 days of spotting. Then had another sono at 9W. Next sono is at 12W for my Nuchal Translucency.

Re: At the beginning
I am seeing an RE as well, he has not officially "released me" to the OB yet. I have an appointment this Friday with the RE, I will be 9w3d. Then I have to wait 3 weeks for my next one at my ultrascreen at 12 weeks. The wait will kill me!

Re: At the beginning
My sono's were / are at 8 weeks, 20 weeks and 36 weeks. Every doctor is different. High risk pregnancies may have more sono's.

Re: At the beginning
At the RE I had a 6w4d and 7w4d sono. Then I transfered to my OB and had an 8w4d sono. My ultrascreen was at 12w, Level II at 21w, and growth sono will be at 30w.

Re: At the beginning
my OB seems to be a bit more sono-happy than others.... I've had a sono at every visit.
I had one at 5 weeks (spotting), 7 weeks, 11 weeks 2 days, and an ultrascreen at 11 weeks 4 days.
yep, only 2 days between sonos I hope we'll get a sono at the 15 week appt. I really would like to see Crouton again.....

Re: At the beginning
I started off with my RE so I had sonos at 5w5d, 6w5d, and 7w5d. Then I had one at 11wks with my OB but it turned out to be too early for my Ultra Screen so I had another sono at 12 1/2 weeks. My next one is at 20wks. and then I made an appt. for a 3D/4D sono at 23 weeks.

Re: At the beginning
I had been misdiagnosed as a miscarriage, so I had way too many in my opinion. At week 6 to confirm pregnancy, then at week 8 to verify evidence of heartbeat, then at week 12.
Because I was being seen at a group practice, each OB wanted to do a sono to determine if the PG was progressing as desired. I had sono's monthly until I switched to the midwives...
So, here's my list of en utero pix: Week 6 Week 8 Week 12 Week 16 Week 20 Week 24 Week 30
Then I switched and didn't have a sono until I was past my due date: 40w, 40w3d, 41w, 41w3d...
