Anyone get an invite to a baby show?
Yesterday my parents gave me an invitation that was mailed to their house (in my name) for a baby show next weekend at the Holiday Inn in Carle Place. Supposedly it is set up kind of like a show and discusses many different aspects of having a baby... admission is free with the ticket and a $120 gift bag is given out at the end of the show...
I have no idea where its from. I don't use my parents address anymore so I dont know why something would have been sent there. I'd like to go but am unsure if it is a scam. It even says on the card not to call the hotel for info, they have no details...
Anyone else get anything like this?

someone else posted that it's a scam to get you to buy their high priced baby items and the "gift" is unusable coupons. it's somewhere on this board.

It's a sales seminar.
The gift package is all coupons that are useless except for JCPenny studio, but even that is nothing spectacular.
My mom got roped in by the "Free gift for Grandma" and begged me and DH to go.
