nope...i'll leave it on while we take the dog for a walk around the block for 10 minutes or so, but never when i'm not going to be right in the neighborhood.
BUT, i do leave the crockpot on when we're not home... i feel ok with that because it cooks at a lower, less intense heat.

no, I don't really like to do that, it makes me nervous. Maybe if I was going to run a quick errand.
I think my mom used to set the timer on the oven to go on before she came home from work, the house never burned down.
I am more nervous at my house because it is gas.

NO WAY. I won't even leave the dryer on when I leave the house. DH's business partner had a horrific fire in his house from the dryer sparking a fuse - no one was home so the damage was REALLY extensive by the time they got back.
