My update
Hi everyone
I haven't been around in a few weeks because its been such a roller coaster of emotions for us that we have been just sort of laying low.
As some of you may remember we had our ER on 1/29 where they got 26 eggs. We transferred 2 5 day blasts. I did get a positive pregnancy test but my betas did not double, only slightly rose. I wound up developing moderate OHSS and had to be drained. That same day my RE said to prepare myself for possible ectopic pregnancy as they could not find anything in uterus (and based on my numbers). I went every two days for a week and a half and still no sac. Finally on the last day that I was to be checked for IUP, he found one! And then he said he couldnt be certain but he thought he saw the beginning of a second sac! I waited an entire week and when I went back sure enough there were two sacs but only one heartbeat (at this point my betas were now doubling). He explained to me the possibility of vanishing twin syndrome and when I started bleeding two days later I assumed that was it, or worse. This Monday I went in totally prepared for bad news. Imagine my surprise when there were two babies, two heartbeats (that I heard and saw) and my RE said he almost couldnt believe it! I'm a little over 8 weeks now and still in shock that this worked for me let alone there will be twins! I'm still of course being cautious as I've had four losses, the latest being 13 weeks so I know what can happen.
I had just wanted to update everyone here as you have all helped so much even though I was only here for a short amount of time. I wish I had found this board when I began this journey four years ago but I am glad you were here with me for the time being.
I wish everyone well and I guess I'll be moving over to the pregnancy board (and multiples). I will of course check in all the time and just pray everyone gets their miracle.
