My uncle had prostate cancer. I remember my dad saying that he had some sort of radioactive "seeds" implanted in the area and it was successful for him. Not sure if I am giving all the correct information as I didn't talk to him directly about it.

My uncle had this procedure done as well. They found his prostate cancer very early. They were operating in the area for another reason and saw it. They went back in 6-8 weeks later (they had to wait that long for him to heal from the first procedure) and implanted the seeds. It was successful.

My dad also had the seed implants which it did work for a few yrs but the cancer did return. I would get a second opinion-I hope everything works out for your dad
