J.J. is throwing up...Second update :O)
A few days ago he thew up a little of his food from the night before. That night I gave him just a little bit of brown rice to settle his stomach and it was okay.
Yesterday I gave him some brown rice mixed with some kibble to see if he could handle it but he threw up basically all of it today on our bed 
I am taking him to the vet this afternoon. Any advice? I feel so bad for him, poor thing hasn't pooped all day and hasn't eaten much in the last couple of days.

He is a cocker-spaniel. No gurgles or noises that I have noticed. He is sitting by me now and I haven't heard anything. He seems okay other than the throwing up bit. Maybe a bit gassy though

UPDATE: J.J. went to the vest yesterday. They took an x-ray of his stomach and they were concerned that since he is not throwing up immediately after there may be a blockage  They didn't see anything but she said it could be a piece of string or something like that - they did see some gas bubbles as well. They did some blood tests and it doesn't seem he has an infection or anything so that is
SO, right now we are following their vomit protocol. They gave him an IV yesterday and said not to give him water or anything to eat for 12 hours. Starting today we are giving him a special food from the vet, 1 Tbsp every 1-2 hours along with 1 Tbsp of water.
I feel so bad for my little guy  If all goes well and he doesn't vomit we can slowly give him food over the next couple of days to get him back and going. If not, he'll have to go in for a barium test to see if there is really a blockage and then possibly surgery

So far so good!!!
He has not thrown up since we started him on the regimen the vet gave us. They called yesterday and today to check in on him and the vet told me today that whatever it was must've past

Awwww poor baby!!!
Char had the same exact thing as a pup - only she had it at 11pm and her mommy and daddy (esp her mommy lol) panicked and took her to animal emergency. She just had a pretty bad stomach virus - and got over it in a day or so. But it was scary! And she had LOTS of gas in her tummy and intestines when we saw the X-Ray!
