5 x 7 envelopes
I made invitations for my neighbor's friend and my neighbor called me tonight to ask me about the size of the envelopes. The size of the invites are 5x7 and the envelopes are 5 3/4 x 8 3/4(which is seriously all I can find). I heard her in the background say..."I don't LIKE them".
SO I was wondering where I could get some 5x7 envelopes.

You need A7 envelopes which are 7.25 x 5.25. Anything over 6" in width will be extra postage. Paper Presentation has them and you can order online as well. They are in NYC near my building. I buy a lot of my paper and envelopes there when I am doing invitations and announcements.

I've seen them at Michael's with the card supplies. I think they might only have them in colors and in packs of 10 for about $5.
Sorry she's so cranky about it, like anyone is paying attention to the size of the envelope.

Actually, I can see her point. Maybe because I am a designer, but I notice those things. An envelope that is too big looks funny to me, so why wouldn't other people notice it. JMO though.
Stefanie - I wouldn't pay $5 for a pack of 10 envelopes when you can get a package of 50 envelopes for $11 at some of the other places given here. It all depends though on how quickly you need them.

Their is a place on 110 Pick-a-paper or something like that on the left hand side once you go over 109 heading east. I remember looking for envelopes also but I wasn't living in NY anymore and people recommended that place. It's close enough to just stop by and see if they have the size you need.

I got 5x7 envelopes for DD's birth announcements from Jam Paper. They were cheap - 100 pink parchment envelopes for $20 and they arrived the next day, and it wasn't a rush order!

I was going to suggest this place too - I think it's Pick Quick Paper?
also this is a LI company that I ordered from - not sure if you could pick it up?

Thay have tons of colors and sizes. I would call their # if you decide to go, I know they moved from the below address in Feb.

staples or office max, but why not use the ones you have? The extra smidge of room will make it easier to get the invite out without ripping the envelope.
