Spinoff to accupuncture

I just called my insurance company and they told me that accupuncture is covered IF the person performing the procedures is a licensed MD. That narrows down my choices Chat Icon Can anyone recommend an accupuncturist that is a licensed MD?

And, for those who have had accupuncture and paid out of pocket, what are the fees generally like?

TIA

Re: Spinoff to accupuncture

I'm starting with my 3rd acupuncturist today in fact. My insurance wont cover it. So far I've paid $60 a visit and it can add up quickly. If Insurance covers that will be good, but.... the reason I have switched acu's is b/c they were not experts in IF acu. I liked both places, find it very relaxing but I don't think they are up on IF. It's very specialized and if you are going to go, make sure they know what they are doing regarding IF. My 2nd one was a great acu for pain but was too agressive with Fertility points. Just somethign to think about, you don't want to waist time like I did. Good luck!

Accupuncture Question

Ugh - seems that every accupuncturist that I've called (specializing in infertility) does not accept my insurance Chat Icon So frustrating!
Do you think it's worth the extra money to pursue it anyway? I'm sort of on the fence about it...

Just wanted to tell you that I went to the acupuncture college in Mineola for $20 (I think, maybe $25) a visit.
