Re: AIRBORNE refund
that stuff never worked for me. and yet for some dumb reason, I kept buying it at almost $7 a tube
eta: one thing that does work for me more often than not is Echinacea + Goldenseal. which you can buy at Trader Joe's for $4.99, for 100 tablets. a much better deal anyway.

Posted by Jennie0898 Unfortunately, with the ability to raise a lawsuit comes the opportunity for foolish folk to take advantage of the system.
That's all I'm trying to say.
Oh we are totally saying the same thing. Of course the right to class action law suits is great, but my disgust is definitely towards the people that file these frivilous cases. For reals.
So yeah- any multi vitamin would do the same thing- MAYBE. But Airborne is taken every 4 hours- it's a certain blend of vitamin levels which CAN be taken so frequently to be absorbed into the body at a steady pace- for ME, this works. It's does boost my immune system. And I don't think that creating a vitamin tablet, and claiming it boosts your immune system, in turn helping to prevent colds, is false advertising. I think it's clever advertising.

I completely agree! It's the beauty of marketing/advertising.

I agree. My response was referencing this in the article:
That came after an ABC News report disclosed that the company's clinical trials were not conducted by doctors or scientists, but instead carried out by two laypeople.
Advertisements stopped mentioning the study and cold-curing claims and instead touted claims that it helped boost the body's immune systems.
While none of us can definitively prove that Airborne prevented sickness without a blood test, it's the curing of a cold I have issue with since there is no cure to the common cold. Or there is, but it's being kept secret in a government vault somewhere next to the run-proof pantyhose.
And the fact that they can use the term "clinical trial" when in fact it was two yahoos working for them is also bs.
It could boost the immune system, so can a lot of things. I see no issue with saying that. And if you believe it helps you and are willing to spend the money on it, more power to ya.
