flying witha newborn

If you had a due date of October 30th would you plan on going on a family vacation December 27th through Jan 4th? Our whole family, even family from out of the country that we haven't seen in a long time, is going away for the week. We would be flying, the flight is 3 1/2 hrs. We need to make a decision soon so we can get on the same flight and the tickets for a reasonable price.

i would... i'm plannng on a trip the end of sept and my baby is due aug 11th.. many will say no though.. but after 30 days you should be fine.. the prob is the germs in the airplane.. if u'r breastfeeding u'll be offering the baby additional nutrients that will build up his/her immune system.. something to consider.. but heck yeah i'd go!!

Im due August 1st and my brother is getting married in Cali on NOv 22, so I wil be traveling on a 5 hour flight with a 3 1/2 month old. My parents and DH will be on the flight as well, so hopefully all will go well

My SIL did it. She had my nephew on September 6th & we left for a family vacation on November 18th. It was a 2 hour flight & the baby was great. She kept telling us that she was not sure if she was going to take the baby. Her Dr was skeptical of her going bc the baby was just 10 weeks but he told her use her best judgement.

DEF go! all they do I the beginning is poop, sleep and eat! I took my 8 week old to Disney and she was great!

we took my son to florida when he was under 3 and a half months old. he was GREAT on the flight. and there were no problems to speak of. good luck to you and enjoy your vacation!
