(UPDATED) back from L & D and ....

STILL NO BABY.

I thought for sure that today was going to be the day. Woke up with severe stomache pains that were constant so at first I thought it was my IBS. Went to the bathroom and still didn't go away, tried to eat but was nausous, tried drinking water and laying down just got worse and worse so after about an hour I called and was sent to L & D.

I'm 38 weeks, having contractions they were every 10 min but slowed down to every 20 min and now they are every hour or so. The baby is face down, cervix is thinned out but i'm completely closed up. Plus i'm still having lower back pain and hip pain badly. My OB said if I was dilated at all they would have checked me in and induced me but he doesn't want to induce me when i'm closed up this much and wind up putting me in for a C-section. So was yet again sent home. I've had 3 huge contractions since being home and beginning to have some brown discharge. I have another appointment at the office tomorrow morning and he said we wll discuss what we are going to do then. Doc is also afraid that i'm going to wind up having bad back labor because i'm already suffering and not even really into the real thing yet. I kind of just want it to be all over at this point but I also really don't want to have a C-section. We will see what he says tomorrow.

**UPDATE.... well just came back from the doctor. I'm still not dilated and everything looks great but i'm not even fully thinned out yet though I am loosing my mucus plug. He was going to induce me tomorrow for Wednesday but my chances of having a C-section are very high and we are all trying to avoid that. So he wants me to wait it out one more week to see if my body will do it naturally and then pretty much no matter what next Tuesday he will induce me for Wednesday.. with still a chance of C-section but a much smaller chance. And that's if I don't go naturally between now and then. So we are now on a day to day basis.

Good luck, it's almost over, baby just play'n with ya..hold out, if you dont want a section, be patient and it will happen ...relax and get your rest.
