IUI question
It seems (the more I read on the internet) that most people don't get PG after one IUI. It seems it takes a few tries to get it "right" (if at all). Does anyone know why more IUIs "usually" lead better results?

Re: IUI question
I don't think its that more than one IUI works better - its just the statistics - like for a couple without any fertility problems - a few get pregnant the first month trying, and by 6 months most of them are pregnant.

Agreed - notwithstanding any major IF issues, having an IUI only puts you in the same position, statistically, as someone trying naturally who has no IF issues, which is about a 1 in 4 chance of conception for each cycle, even if timed perfectly. Most people trying naturally, with no IF issues, do not get pregnant on their first cycle, so it's not suprising the same holds true for IUI's.

Re: IUI question
From what I understand, any IF treatment plan reaches optimal results within 3 tries. My RE recommended 3 cycles of Clomid/IUI and if no success, move on to something else.

I'm so glad you asked this question because I've been wanting to ask the same thing.
