For those of you who have had a miscarriage

Hi, I am just about 9 weeks and I found out last night it's just a matter of time before I miscarry.

From the beginning I have had problems because I was about 2 weeks behind what I normally should be. I have had to go for blood work and sono's every week.

Last night I went for a sono and I am 9 weeks showing a fetal size of just 6 weeks. There has been minimal growth in the last 3 weeks. The Drs. say I can't do anything until the heart stops beating on it's own.

Anyone ever been in this situation? If so how long until it's over. As harsh as it may seem I have been dealing with this since I found out I am pregnant and I am ready to move on. I don't think emotionally I can hang in to much longer.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks ladies I appreciate all of your kind words.

Ugh - I went throught the same thing at 8 weeks with my first pregnancy.

Fetal growth stopped just short of 6 weeks and the heart was still beating at 8 weeks, but it was the faintest of beats. I was told it was not a viable pregnancy and it was a matter of waiting it out.

It was so devastating for me as I too had to wait for nature to take over. Within 5 days I started to bleed and cramp and by 7 days I had miscarried everything naturally.

If you need to chat more you can FM me.

Im so sorry, for me I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks, nothing developed no sac, nothing. Basically they told me that I had to wait till my levels went down to 0 before I could start trying again.

This process took about 3 weeks. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

i mc at 6 weeks. heart wasnt yet beating. sac was there baby wasnt. i knew it was happening. it passed 1 week after the dr said it would. i felt a sharp pain once in my back ( which was a sign of impending mc) then the next day it started.....it was painless and quick. it was like a normal period- mine are very short and light this was no differnt. i cried a lot. and was very angry. i missed a good friends baby shower b.c too many preggos would be there.. and i couldnt deal....
then 3 weeks later i was pg with twins. im now finishing up my 2nd trimester and all is well.
it doesnt sound bad to want it over. its very hard to move on until this passes.

im so sorry for your loss. FM me if you want.. people often dont thnk its painful to have this happen eary on but it was very hard for me and im sure for you as well. . first trimester MC are not indicitave of future ones. best of luck

I am really sorry for what you are going through. Do you have a perinatal specialist?

Re: For those of you who have had a miscarriage

I am so sorry for what you are going through. Please know that you will get through this eventhough it seems difficult right now. I promise.

I had a a natural miscarriage at 5w that started 1/22. It lasted for four days and was like a period. I had no cramping or pain. To my surprise we got pregnant 3 weeks after the miscarriage and are now 5w4d along. Please note that you will get pregnant again!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon FM me if you need.
