Re: How Long TTC before IVF?
6 months of medicated cycles:
1 medicated cycle with timed intercourse
2 medicated IUI cycle with my GYN
3 medicated iUI cycles with RE
Was on a forced break for January and part of February.
ETA: We've been TTC since Aug 06.

Re: How Long TTC before IVF?
6 months on our own then 6 months under an RE. We knew as soon as we went to the RE that we would end up doing IVF b/c I have a blocked tube. I did three cycles of clomid and one cycle of injectibles - all with IUIs.

Re: How Long TTC before IVF?
We did 4 medicated IUI cycles and 1 unmediated IUI. IVF was covered for us so we decided to move right to it after that.

Re: How Long TTC before IVF?
12 months of trying on our own (started testing around 9 months), did 2 cycles of unmedicated IUI's and then due to terrible sperm counts/quality we moved to IUI. So it was a total of 15 months from when we started trying to when we got our BFP

Re: How Long TTC before IVF?
It will end up being a little less than a year of medicated cycles before we do IVF. But we had a bunch of forced breaks and also a mental health break for me.

Re: How Long TTC before IVF?
Long story short unofficially TTC over 5 years officially TTC 1 year. Within that 1 year went for test and found out we have problems....then started the ball rolling for IVF.

Re: How Long TTC before IVF?
Thanks for your responses ladies. So far my 4 cycles of IF treatments have included 2 Clomid/IUI, 1 natural IUI, and 1 Follistim/IUI. This month I am on a forced medication break but hope to still do a natural IUI. I figure I might give Follistim/IUI another try in April iif necessary and then seriously consider IVF if that doesn't work out. My insurance covers IVF and I don't want to waste any more time.
