Subpoena to appear in court
for failure to respond to Juror's questionnaires. They must have sent 15 of them, one a week, to my house in Bay Shore- I sent SEVERAL back- it was out of control. Now I get this? They say I have 10 days to appear- I will be G Damned that I am wasting one second of my vacation time for this- it's total HORSESHIT! ETA- Looks like Max Power is going to be born in the joint.

Re: Subpoena to appear in court
Pregnancy should get you out of it. Just have your OB state that you cannot sustain comfort for you or your baby during that process.

Re: Subpoena to appear in court
I don't understand- I sent so many of those questionnaires back- and why did they send them to me weekly? Clearly they don't have their ish together!
ETA_ I bet this is a scam to make some money fining people- they send you friggin 345 questionnaires, you send back 344 and get served. Asshats.

FYI, they don't care if a woman is prego, and don't accept it as an excuse. I was chosen as a juror & had to serve when I was 7 months pregnant for two weeks. I thought my huge belly would get me off, but it SO didn't!

Re: Subpoena to appear in court
I just recently got one too. All I had to do was fill out the questionnaire and hand it to them. They told me I would be called in 2 to 6 months. It was super annoying and a total time waster
Oh I lost mine and I called up and they gave me a reference # so I just had to give the lady that and she pulled up my info.

Re: Subpoena to appear in court
I got one too a few summer's ago. I had responded to the Juror Questionnaire they send and even sent in my excuse letter, as I am the sole care provider for my children. They claimed they never got my paperwork. the lady I spoke to was nice, I just had to fax her over the rest of the paperwork (my children's birth certificates) and I got out of it.
