Do You Have A Lot of Friends of the Opposite Sex?
OK -for those of you who didn't see my thread on the Fitness/Diet board, I went to an open casting call for Biggest Loser today - and they're moving me on to round 2 auditions/interviews this week!
Anywhooo - I have this long-azz application to fill out and two questions they ask specifically are to list three male friends and three female friends to call for references. I feel like I don't really have close male friends anymore...I guess I'm going to have to use DH's friends and some of my friend's DHs!
Do you have close friends of the opposite sex?
ETA - I have acquaintance co-worker male friends - but no one who I would put as a reference!

congratulations, that is so cool!!
i do have quite a few "close" male friends but i know them all from my job, and if it weren't for the nature of my job, i wouldn't be close with them.

No...I have male co-workers who I hang out with at work, but I would never hang out with just them alone at night or on the weekend, so I don't consider them good friends. Friends, yes, but not good friends.

Hmmmmm...I guess you could say that I have 3..but mostly now its a couples thing..Im friends with their SO/DW too...but I was friends with the guy first.

A majority of my friends are males...I have one "best" friend that's a female, and the other "best" friend is a male.

I have always had close male friends. I was even the "Best Woman" at one of their weddings and had another male friend in my wedding party. Now that I have been with DH for a while, many of our friends have become just that--"our friends." But some of the guys did originate with me. They are guys that I would never be compatible with as a mate but the friendships work most of the time (the "Best Woman" guy drives everyone crazy, even his own wife and kids. His wife likes that I can sometimes talk sense to him )

First of all, congrats Miki! That is awesome! I really hope you make it on to the show.
As far as male friends, I used to have a lot more. In my later HS years and college, I probably had more male friends than female. Once I got engaged and married, I definitely stopped making new close male friends, and drifted from some who I used to have a more flirty relationship.
That said, I still do have a few male friends who have been in my life since HS, and I am close with some of DH's oldest friends as well.

Yes. Around the time all of my female friends flaked out on me, I started realizing that there's much less drama in being friends with guys.
I think I've really been scarred by the experiences with girlfriends in my past. I'm still really learning how to trust again when it comes to that...

i don't have any guy friends anymore and i don't consider DH's friends to be my friends even though i like most of them. i don't even miss not having guy friends!
