How many diapers do you have?

I have all Pamper Swaddlers:
about 60 NB (nervous to get too many if baby is big)
200 + Size 1
20 pack of Size 2

good start? too little?

I think that is a good start. I had 60 NB diapers but DS was early and small so he is still in them 4 weeks later and I have since bought a pack of 90 and another pack of 40. I think we are going to switch him to stage one soon. I wouldn't buy too many because you never know which brand is going to be best for DC.

I have 3 packs of Pampers Swaddlers - 1 NB and two Size 1.
My grandma and MIL bought me them, I didn't buy any.

Sounds like you are fine to me. You will also take lots home from the hospital of whatever your child will be in at the time.

I buy everything in bulk and my kid grows out of diapers so fast that I am constantly exchanging the sizes.

I decided I can send someone out to get them before we leave the hospital, rather than buying ones prior that might be too big/small.

Don't buy too many. DS was 7 Lbs 13 oz and only wore NB size in the hospital and for the first 2-3 days at home. We switched to size 1 right away. Then DS did not stay long in size 1 either.

It's hard to predict how fast they grow.

I had 2 packages of the NB and a diaper cake made of 200 Size 1. Our is 4 weeks old and we just switched to the Size 1. was born at 7lbs 10oz, but was only 7lbs 5oz when we left the hospital. She just past the 8lb mark about a week ago.

I'm only 20 weeks and have no diapers at all.

I am waiting for my shower to see if anyone just gives me some.

I also plan on cleaning out the hospital of all newborns during my stay.

i totally stocked up on diapers when I was pg with Ayla. I didn't want to wait for my shower. When BRU or other stores had sales, I'd buy. I had a pretty decent supply. It lasted me a good 5 to 6 months. It was great to only buy formula knowing that I had plenty of dipaers. I did end up getting diapers at my shower but not an overload of them.

For this baby, I have some newborn and 2 boxes of size 1-2. It's not much but it's okay for now.

When we had DS we had a package of newborn swaddlers and then a box of 1-2 swaddlers. We also had lots of NB free samples. The nursery nurse even gave us a small package of newborn swaddlers to take home.

Remember to take everything out of the cart/bassinet at the end of the day and put the stuff in a bag for DH to bring home EVERYNIGHT! When baby goes back to the nursery they will fill the cart/bassinet again and you get to do it all over again! (I know my hospital welcomed it)

We had one package of NB swaddlers and then a couple of NB packages that people gave us.

Plus you will bring home from the hospital. Our hospital sent us home with Swaddlers size 1 and we held on to them and used them when DS was about 5 weeks old or so.

We have a skinny minny baby who shows NO signs of going into anything over a size 3 and he is almost 10 months old.

That sounds good. I think it is a great idea that you only got 60 newborn and 200 size 1. They grow out of newborn size pretty quickly.

Sounds good. Andrew was soo tiny that we used a lot of newborn and for the first month he was in preemie diapers.

so far I have a pack of both huggies and pampers new borns and a handful of the samples of both that came in the mail. For my shower I got pampers swaddles size 2 which I won't need for a little while. I'm going to have to go out and get more but I want to wait till baby is here and I decide whether the pampers or huggies works best for her before I make my big purchases.
