We are leaving for Florida - and my stepdaughter insists on bringing her UGGS!!
I keep trying to tell her no one wears Uggs in Florida, but she said she bought all these short pants to wear with her Uggs at night... i'm like, its boca - night time is at 4:30 but she insists
DO they wear Uggs in Florida????

They might actually wear them there, especially boca
ETA: Personally I would not sacrifice all that packing space for Uggs, but what are you going to do?

when i was in disney in october i saw quite a few younger girls sporting their uggs - i noticed it b/c it made me laugh but then again - it did get down to like 60 degrees at night.
i think b/c it is such a big trend right now - especially for the younger girls - my sister teaches middle school and these girls will try to wear them straight through until JUNE lol - and one time, DH and i were at six flags in AUGUST and i saw a girl wearing: tank top and a mini skirt with... UGGS!

Tell her that as cute as she may look in her UGGS, none of the guys she will be flirting with will go near her when she takes them off her feet after walking around Florida - P-U!

It's 80 degrees. Not many girls are wearing Uggs. But over the next few days it's suppose to get a bit cold (60's - 70's)
I havent really seen many girls wearing Uggs around here

I don't know, when I went to Tucson AZ a few months ago I figured there was no reason to bring my uggs. But the girls were all wearing them, even in warm weather.

Who cares? It sounds like she planned out her outfits to include them. If she doesn't wear them, eh, most people are guilty of overpacking once in a while.

Yes they do, and yes it looks silly, but at her age she's not going to listen. I would tell her to wear them on the plane, and let it go. She's a teenager...you'll have PLENTY more to fight about once you GET to FL! JMHO, and I lived in Key West where even at night it was a cool, balmy 80 degrees and MANY MANY MANY people wore them. I felt sorry for the roomates because man o man those piggys had to stink after a night out!!!

I go to boca all the time and have never seen one person wearing uggs
but it's not worth the aurgement- let her sweat- she'll learn real quick

This is coming from someone who at age 15-16 used to wear combat boots with her bikini, on the beach, in Florida, in the middle of the summer—don't waste your time arguing, you'll never win this battle!
