Girls with smaller houses
What do you plan on keeping in the living room area? We have a small living room and I am worried we won't have enough room for a pack-n-play, swing, and bouncer.

I never kept a pack n play in our living room. We have tiny ranch. WHen Sara slept it was in a crib in her room or in a swing or bouncy in the living room

Re: Girls with smaller houses
Not getting a swing first of all... one b/c of the space restraints, and I've heard/seen bad things about them. There's a TV in the Living room, so I don't want the baby around the TV. I'd say we'll keep the pack n play around, we may even use the bassinet feature of it in our bedroom at night. The bouncer is small enough - I'm sure it'll be fine.

Re: Girls with smaller houses
We had a swing & PNP set up first, but DD didn't like the swing much at all, so we took that down around 4 months and replaced it with the Exersaucer. Then we took the PNP down for the Christmas tree, and it hasn't gone back up yet. Once she starts crawling, it will go back up. It's like fitting puzzle pieces together, but we make it work.
ETA: The bouncer I just move around the house depending where I am, it can go on the floor anywhere, and when it's not being used, I put it in our guest room, out of the way.

Re: Girls with smaller houses
I live in a small cape and will have the baby temporarily in a room downstairs - that's where the PNP will be and a changing table.
In the living room I only plan on having the swing. I'll bring out the boucy seat when the baby is a little older or on a need only basis. The same with the play mat. I'll only bring that out on a need only basis.
When baby gets older, I'll take the exersaucer out more and the jumperoo I'll put up when DS is about 5 + months (when he is sturdy and can hold up his head).
If baby is in his room upstairs by then, his room will go back to a playroom/TV room and that's where I'll keep his stuff stored.
I also have a two year old and I took a corner of our dinning room for his toys already. It's going to be tight.

Re: Girls with smaller houses
we have a modest sized apartment....
So far, the crib and changing table/dresser will be in our bedroom
the neglect-o-matic (swing) will go in our eat-in kitchen, becuase it's fairly roomy in there....
I think the pack and play might go in the dining room area although I'm not sure we have room for it!
