Awww, I remember that blizzard! My mom had to walk from our house to pick my brothers and I up from school and we all walked home together - and our house was about 3 miles from the school!

I totally remember that. My sister was born February 3, 1983 (I was 11)..... She was a week old. Interesting the pictures shown are from Syosset - I live close to there now. And the Bronx (Riverdale) ones is where I went to college and the buildings look so familiar. I love looking at old stories like that!

That's reallllly strange because exactly two years ago we got 26 inches of snow in the city - I believe it was a record? I remember specifically because my BF went into labor and had her son (my godson) after midnight, so on 2/12/06, and it was crazy getting home from the hospital, even worse trying to get back TO the hospital later on the 12th to see the baby again!
