How far along do you have to be to find out?

I will be finding out on Thursday when I am 20w1d.
Although, some people have found out as early as their 12 week ultrascreen.

Same here for us except I will be exactly 20 weeks on Thursday. Can't wait for Valentine's Day!

We found out around 18 weeks.

Generally, you find out at your 20w sono. Some doctors will venture a guess several weeks earlier, but some books say that is too soon to be sure since things are still developing in the nether region. I didn't want any lingering questions, so I just waited until I was 20w. Uncertainty would have killed me!

I'm hoping to find out on my 20 week ultra screen.. Thursday the 21, feels like forever..... I guess they just want to make sure for certain since that screening is more accurate and precise....

I was suppossed to find out at 20.5 weeks. I had some early braxton hicks cramping around 17.5 weeks and when they did the sono to check my cervix and the baby's condition, they were able to tell us then.
