Please reassure me..

That it's ok that we didn't see the hearbeats at 6w3d. I can't stop think about it and all the what-ifs. I am reading way too much and driving myself crazy. I am SO paranoid of miscarriage right now, I've never been like this beforeChat Icon We go back on Thurs. and it can't get here soon enough.

Re: Please reassure me..

I did a poll last week...the hearts might still be too small...you'll see them at your next appointment!

Re: Please reassure me..

That's really early. I had a sonogram at 6W with my last pregnancy, & we barely saw anything. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Please reassure me..

I'm fairly certain you can't see it at 6 weeks.

We just saw the heartbeat today, but we're 7 weeks 2 days.... I don't think I ever heard someone say they saw a heartbeat earlier than 7....

the embryo grows sooo much in that period of time, I think it's too small at 6 weeks... we had a sono at 5 weeks 3 days, and didn't even see the embryo, only the sac!

Re: Please reassure me..

We saw our DSs at 6 weeks (don't recall how many days), but my doctor warned me that the heartbeat may not be there yet, so I think it's normal for there to be no heartbeat at this point.

Re: Please reassure me..

Dont worry. This is why I passed on this sonogram. you might have conceived later in your cycle.

Re: Please reassure me..

When I went for my ultrasound I thought I was 7 weeks and I turned out to be 6w 2d. The tech told me nto to get upset if we dont see much because it was so early a heartbeat may not be noticable.

We were lucky and at 6w 2d saw a heartbeat. The little peanut looked like a lima bean and to tell you the truth I had no idea what i was even looking at. All I saw was this lima bean looking thing pumping and was like what is that thing. The tech laughed and said that thing is your embryo. I said what, no way. Chat Icon

At 6 weeks if you dont see a heartbeat dont worry. It's still early. Chat Icon

Re: Please reassure me..

I know it's hard not to think about it because well... i think we've all thought about it as soon as we got pregnant. But from what i've read and from what the doctor has told me, it is very unlikely to see the heart beat at 6 weeks. Plus as the above mentioned, you could have implanted later than you think (which clearly was the case with 1 of them). Chat Icon

You've come so far already and you're finally here! with twins!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon So keep thinking positive and try not to worry too much.

Re: Please reassure me..

I saw the baby and heartbeat at 6w3d.... BUT just a few days can make a big difference, if your baby implanted just a day or 2 later. Try not to stress! Chat Icon

Re: Please reassure me..

i went at 6 weeks 3 days also. we did see a HB but it took them a while, and with some fancy colors ( heat sensors maybe?) to find it so don't worry. plus my bean was measuring bigger than 6 weeks 3 days
