Is your cat needy?

All my cats love affection and try to get it whenever and wherever they can. Ramsey is particularly needy, is always all over us and has to be snuggled up with us. In the mornings sometimes he cries outside the bedroom door because he wants attention. As soon as you open the door he starts purring like a motor and meowing like a little kitten. Its cute but sometimes annoying when I am sleepin at 3am or 5amChat Icon

My kitten is definitely like your Ramsey!

He is five months old, and meows at our bedroom door every morning. When I let him in, he purrs like crazy and then hops on the bed to lick my hair (the vet said it's a comfort thing).

When I am getting ready in the morning, he likes to roll over my feet, play hide and seek, and nips at my toes.

It is very sweet, but I agree, sometimes I want to sleep late, or just have a morning to myself.

I have to say, this is great practice for a baby!

Re: Is your cat needy?

I actually have 2 cats like this. I have 4 cats, but two of them lived with DH alone as kittens, so he wasn't too affectionate with them. My other 2 cats lived with me, and I was ridiculous with them...so now they are incredibly needy. They have to always be on top of me, they will actually wake me up in the middle of the night if I'm not in the position they want me to be in while sleeping...for their maximum comfort, of course. They will practically put their head in my mouth, just to be as close to me as possible. Yes, it can get annoying at times, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I adore them. All of them. he meows until I get up and feed him

he knows which cabient the food is in- and he will stand in front of it until he gets exactly what he wants- treats, wet food, dry food - he will keep going back

This is exactly what Simba does. He knows where his treats are.
His food and water dishes are kept upstairs, so, he'll lay at the bottom of the stairs and meow until I come up and give him fresh water and food.
He's also very snuggly..More with DH than me. It's so cute though.Chat Icon
