Those commercials for shelters...
OMG I want to die after I watch them...they make me so sad and miserable, I want to run out and adopt every single homeless animal

me too. I keep trying to get DH to entertain the notion of buying farm land and starting a rescue

We can only hope...
That commercial kills me. I can't watch it. But then again, I'm the same person who started to cry when I walked into the shelter we got Arnold from.
It's so sad to see all those animals in there. I still cannot comprehend how anyone could give up their pet.
It just makes me so sad.

you think thats bad, try going to the town of hempstead shelter and look at all of these terrified dogs. about 95% of them are pitbulls who are just going to be put down because most people don't know the facts on them. I seriously just want to take them all home. This is why I will start my own rescue group and hopefully save as many dogs as I can.
If you're thinking of adopting, please go to a town shelter or the animal care & control in the city first instead of NSAL or bideawee. Those are no kill shelters and someone will always adopt those dogs. At the ACC or Town shelters, they're put on death row every day. you're truly saving a life that way.

Me too. My DH looked at me and asked why I was covering my eyes and ears during the commercial last night. We adopt from shelters, but it still breaks my heart. I can't go in them w/out crying for all the dogs we can't take.

I close my eyes and I see echo..... i cry my head off when i see it..... my dad tried to make me feel better saying echo is just an actor....... it was cute he tried to console his 33 year daughter..................
