My mom is so rude!
DH and I went to my parent's house for the game tonight. I'm in the kitchen preparing some food for the party and my mom comes over and smacks my butt. Then proceeds to look at my butt as if it is 100 times bigger. I grabbed a rolling pin out of the drawer and said "you better keep walking or I'm gonna beat you with this." She thought it was funny. Me....not so much.

It seems that when you are pregnant, people seem to feel they have the right to say whatever they want you. I had collegues that I hadn't seen since Sept (they work in another building) they saw me 2 weeks ago and they were like your boobs are freaking huge.

I know the comments are rude!  But let me tell my mother does NOT say a word! But my father on the other hand Holy cow he could really give it to me! He tells me my belly is in the house before me! (it just sounds funnier when he says it with his accent) thank god I laugh!

My mom was like that in the beginning. She would ask me what I ate for breakfast/lunch/dinner and then say "ooohhh...you better not eat too much" and then she'd tell me how she only gained about 20 lbs. during each of her pregnancies.
She's gotten MUCH better since then, and now she tells me all the time that I'm carrying so well and I look really good. Hopefully your mom will lay off you as well! Good luck!

yeah my mom rubbed my belly the other night - after we had all eaten a huge dinner  i told her it was just fat and not baby but she didn't seem to believe me 
although if ANYONE in my family made a comment about my butt there would be hell to pay! i'm the only one allowed to complain about my expanding rear end.

My mom hasn't been rude, however my MIL, with the first baby was.
We went to tell them that we were pregnant, we gave them a little picture frame and she goes, "You're pregnant!" I smile and say yes. She then adds, "I thought you were gaining some weight..." uh...thanks

I am just waiting for this from my MIL. ETA: We haven't told our parents yet.
DH's family is ALL about weight / looks / etc. and I am dreading being pregnant around them.
