Re: contractions?
mine feel like kind of mild period cramps... a tighting in my lower belly to my pelvic area and since they are only braxton hicks it last about a min or so and then they disappear

Re: contractions?
If you are wondering, chances are they aren't the real thing. One thing about the real ones: they come in a pattern. SO keep track!

Re: contractions?
Some crampy and tightening of your stomach (uterus). If you were in stage two labor with severe contractions - you would be in a lot of pain like waves of of emense tightening and pain.

Re: contractions?
For me I'd feel a tightening in my stomach and the pain would radiate to my lower back. Also, with real contractions there is a definite peak to them. They build up, hurt a lot, and then go away.

Re: contractions?
For me I had strong period like cramping. I did not feel it in my whole abdomen just low. I didn't even know that they were contractions until I was admitted to the hospital. I thought it was just pressure.

Re: contractions?
Well since I was in the doctor's office most of yesterday night with contractions, I can now answer this It started as really bad cramping in my lower back and then it would radiate to my lower belly. Everything got really tight and hard to move. The OB said that they will keep increasing in pain and in consistent intervals when its the real deal.
