I registered for the FP Papasan Starlight Swing (or whatever the name is) based on reviews here. Mommies seem to like it.

Re: What swing did you register for

I don't know the exact name but it is the Fischer Price Rainforest swing. It was like $115 but really good because it swings both back and forth and side to side. DS is 7 days old and loves it.

ditto- for all the same reasons. My cousins both love this thing, too- you can get baby ready to leave, set him up in the swing, then get ready yourself, and just grab his carseat and go.

ETA- Also- this fits in my pack n play, thus keeping baby away form my dog.

This sounds like a great idea to me, but what about when the baby is too big for the car seat? Then you can't use the swing anymore right?

Re: What swing did you register for

I registered for the Graco Silhouette Swing in Deco, mostly just b/c DH insisted and he is never interested in anything baby-related, so that made me happy.

Re: What swing did you register for

I registered for the Fisher Price Starlight Papasan Cradle Swing.

My friend recommended Fisher Price swings because they swing either side to side or front to back (her baby didn't like front to back, but loved side to side).

This one is a little more money than the Papasan Swing, but this one you can plug into the wall instead of using batteries!

I registered for the same one. The Silhouette models are a tab bit smaller than all of the rest and that's what we need.

We had the Baby Einstein one and loved it. I swayed away from the Papasan because I heard if your child is big it doesn't really fit the baby and it won't grow with the child as much as another would.

We have the FP Take Along Aquarium swing. It's great because it takes up hardly any space and you can fold it up. Also easy to take from room to room and up and down stairs.

All swings have weight requirements, usually the same as the infant carrier (20lbs).

This is the swing that I have as well, and I think it's a GODsend that it's offered with an option to plug into the wall.....

It seems like all the items that we use for bebe need batteries....
