Let's talk about nipples..

Does anyone get embarrassed when their high beams are on?

I don't know if it's because I breastfed and my nipples are the size of bologna slices, but it ALWAYS seems like my beamers are protruding through my thinner clothed shirts.

I don't like to wear padded bras and it doesn't really BOTHER me, but I wonder if people notice and makes them uncomfortable.

(it doesn't help that my father is a dirty old man and ALWAYS seems to comment, either...)

since getting pregnant, the lights are always on. I don't even realize it anymore, but my DH thinks it's hysterical when I am talking to people and "there they are."Chat Icon

Re: Let's talk about nipples..

I don't. I think as long as your ta-tas are at attention and not drooping to your knees, it kinda looks really nice!~

Sometimes I'll change shirts if I feel like I'm showing. Even if it is just cold in my apt, I change because I feel uncomfortable. Chat Icon

The short answer is: It all depends on who they're attached to.

Re: Let's talk about nipples..

I dont know why we would be embarrassed.. it's not like WE DONT HAVE THEM...

I recently bought some little flowered looking bandages called nipple sheilds or something... but I'm saving those for when I have an event or something.

Re: Let's talk about nipples..

It's funny you brought this up. I was in a dressing room yesterday and one woman was trying on a shirt and I guess they were showing so she asked her friend about it.

The friend goes something like:

"I don't think it looks bad. Some people like it. It's a turn on."

Yeah no kidding, it's a turn on. So is a see through dress. And both look slutty.

I realize some people don't do it on purpose (obviously) - that's different.

I used to go braless until I had my son and my ninnies doubled in size (and STAYED that way)

now, I only go braless in the summer.

Re: Let's talk about nipples..

I only wear padded bra's so there is no shot in hell of seeing them, I think it's tacky esp in a work place

Re: Let's talk about nipples..

Lightly lined bras are the answer for me. Sadly my nursing bras aren't lined and after I nurse it always shows. I hate it. I can't wait to wear regular bras again.

Re: Let's talk about nipples..

Before I got PG, they very very very rarely stood at attention....

Now is a completely diff story, and I still forget about them... I think I am trying to get used to it still - I'm hoping that when DD actually comes and I have to use the nursing pads that it will help!

I always wear padded bras and therefore avoid this problem. Before I wore them, I always had this problem.

Re: Let's talk about nipples..

I hate when I have nippage. I used to wear those petal sticker thingies. Then when I was trying to BF, the nurses said that I had very flat nipples, which made it more difficult. I was like, ok, then why do I always feel like I have nippage? Maybe the stickers ruined them. Chat Icon

I always wear lined bras. It's so gross when people don't wear the right bra w/ a thin shirt, especially older women Chat Icon that is a huge pet peave of mine eeew

Me too!!! I can't stand them looking down my shirt or at my nips.... It doesn't take much though. If I wear a white shirt with a nude bra they are looking at the straps. Chat Icon
