Due Date confusion
WARNING: THIS MAY BE CONFUSING!
According to my LMP my due date is the end of June - 28 or 29th.
According to my first sonogram - a very early one at 6 1/2 weeks or so - my due date is 7/2.
Since that first sono, where I was measuring behind, I have "caught up" and according to my 12 week scan I change weeks every Sunday.
But according to the first sono it was a week change every Tuesday.
The doctor never changed my due date (I mean it is only a few days) but I am confused. Which date would you go by?
I do go by the July date since I assume I will be late anyway but I just find it weird. MAybe I will know more at my Level 2???
And I have no idea why I obsess over this minute detail but it bothers me.
Thanks

Re: Due Date confusion
Your doctor may tell you what date they are going by, I had the same thing and they said that it could change everytime you have a sono so they will stick to one unless it is a week or more off. Then I had my Ultrascreen and the baby was measuring a week earlier so now the date changed on record with them from 7/16 to 7/10.

Re: Due Date confusion
I had the same confusion when I was pg. I asked my Dr. which date are we sticking to?? and he told me the lmp date so thats what I used...after asking around i think its usually the lmp date that is used.

Re: Due Date confusion
I would go by the sono date. They are so close I won't stress. Remember most women give birth within +/- 2 weeks of their estimated due date.

Re: Due Date confusion
I had the same confusion. My LMP & sono dates are off dy about a week.
Now that I am getting closer I asked my DR again, what is he going by and he said the sonogram!
The date is just an approximate anyway, I was more concerned about going over 42weeks, but my DRs are on the conservative side and don't go past 41 wks anyway.

Re: Due Date confusion
I had a similar issue b/c we had basically stopped *trying* so I was no longer charting and not 100% sure when I o'd.
Anyway my Dr. did not officially change the date until my level II.

Re: Due Date confusion
Go by the sono. It's more accurate than a LMP for figuring out how far along. We had the same thing and my doctor goes by the sono.
