When & where did you get your nursing bras?
I am 30 weeks and I plan on BF.
I went to Motherhood Works today in Riverhead and honestly, I tried a few on and they were uncomfortable. I found one that I liked, but it was in black and I wanted white. I asked the sales lady if it came in white and she said no.
To be honest, I am not to fond of Motherhood Maternity in Riverhead, I find the sales ladies very unhelpful and pretty rude.
Just wondering if anyone can recommend other places where I can get some and maybe even some help? Maybe even sized by a professional.
And the best time when to get nursing bras?
Also, are the Medela bras the most comfortable? I will pay more $$ for comfort.

I bought one at Target. I found that it was better to buy after I had DS (1st pregnancy) because some materials irritated me more than others.

Re: When & where did you get your nursing bras?
I agree with you about the salesgirls at the Maternity Store at Tanger - not so helpful and love to tell you that it's hard to return stuff. Great. I also plan on BF'ing as well (I'm 35 wks), and I just packed my bag today....I have a couple of sports bra type nursing bras which fit me right now, but I've heard you should buy a size or two bigger than you are just before you give birth. I think I'm going to buy some more at Target because they're cheaper than at Tanger... HTH.

Re: When & where did you get your nursing bras?
The ones that I liked the most and I found the most comfortable were from Buy Buy Baby. But I would suggest only buying one and seeing how you like it because you can't return any bras even if you haven't taken it out of the box or taken the tags off. Good luck!

Re: When & where did you get your nursing bras?
I got the most comforatable maternity/nursing bra at Buy Buy Baby if you can believe that. I bought and returned bras like crazy till I found this one... finally something comfortable and it's also a nursing bra. I'm only 24 weeks, but I needed bigger bras and figured as long as I was spending the money why not get a bra that can be used for nursing too (pending my size stays as is)

Re: When & where did you get your nursing bras?
My advice would be to not spend a fortune on nursing bra's until the baby is about 2-3 months old. The reason being that you are still going to grow some (not much), your milk is going to come and you will then look like a porn star. Then the porn star look goes away after a day or two and they are just big then one day you look in the mirror and wonder were they went because your bra's are big but you DC is still eating and that happened to me at the 3 month mark. I was a 36DD when I had DD and then my milk came in and I think I was a 36E then they went back to 36DD and now I am back to a 34DD (I was pre-pg). So I hope this helps you.

Re: When & where did you get your nursing bras?
I went from a 36DDD to a 42F....
I bought a nursing bra at Motherhood, but got ZERO support from it.
When I went back home, I took a visit down to the ladies @ Georgette's in Hicksville, and they fitted me with my Goddess bras, and I have to tell you that I love them.
They are super comfie, they weren't expensive IMO at all (from what I'm used to paying for bras anyway), and the latch on them is very secure!

I found this for you for sizing that I thought might help from Breakout Bras

I have bought some Bravado bras to wear now and after the pregnancy. They are very comfortable.
Thank you for the suggestions. During lunch, I just ordered some Bravado bras from Bare Necessities.
I liked the fact that the sizes came in S,M,L because it seems that you can shrink and grow and the bra adapts.
I hope they fit well and are comfy. I got free shipping so, if I have to return them I won't mind to much.
Ladies, thank you so much for all your advice and suggestions.

I was going to recommend the Bravo bras. I found them very comfortable when I was newly BFing and I still wear them at 8-1/2 months PP. Even if you decide you want a different style after your body adjusts to BFing, they're great for sleeping also.
