My Birth Story
By 41 weeks Lucy was showing no signs of coming out on her own, plus she was measuring about 9 ½ lbs so my Doctor decided to induce me. I went in to Winthrop at 12:00 on January 9 and was 3 centimeters dilated, but was having no contractions.
They broke my water around 2, and still no contractions, but I did dilate to 4 centimeters. Then they began the pitocin to begin my contractions around 5 pm. Which it did, and quickly! So about 5:45 they gave me an epidural, and I felt nothing after that.
My contractions continued and I dilated to 6 cm, but my doctor got concerned about the babies head, it was already turning into a cone shape, but she was not moving positions. He said a c section might be necessary, he decide to wait 2 more hours to watch the progress. In the meantime the epidural began to wear off, on my left side only but they did not want to up the meds until we decided if we were going to do the c section
By 9:30 no progress was made and my doctor decided to give me a c-section. Which was harder than I thought it would be, although there is no pain, you can still feel what they are doing. Lucy Elizabeth was born at 10:25 PM.
Recovery after the c section was hard, the next day I felt sick, dizzy and threw up a lot, I did not get time to really enjoy my daughter. But every day I feel better, and now a week later I am moving around much better.

I've just never heard that.
he can touch the head when you are dilated enough.
it concerned him b/c she was a bigger baby and it could be a sign that she would have difficulty coming out.
most babies get the cone head when being delivered but hers started earlier
