Puggles
UGh my 1 yr old dog is so hyper tonight I cant take him. Does anyone else have a hyper puggle...?

I dont know about pugs, but beagles can be very hyper dogs. I have a 1year old foxhound (tall beagle), and if we dont give him a good walk a day, forget about it.

I don't know about puggles either but I had a very hyper pug! Exercise is key. Have you tried a laser? Our dog loves to chase it.

Henry is almost 2 and just starting to calm down. When he goes crazy I just let him out in the backyard and he runs around like a lunatic and then comes in more calm. He also has lots of toys that we play fetch with in the house.

My puggle is 8 months and is very hyper..I usually just let him run outside in the yard as well....he is a maniac! He comes in like 20 mins later fine.

i know 3 people with male puggles who say they a re just nutz!!!
males are much much more hyper than females

How funny Megan, because Missy is so much more hyper than Rocky and Missy acts more like a beagle than pug. And Rocky acts more like a pug than beagle. Missy is 3 and still has those crazy moments. Where rocky who is 2 1/2 loves to just lay down and chew his bones.

I have a pug and he was off the wall hyper for the first 2.5 years of his life. he is only NOW calming down

i have a puggle and he will be 2 in may. Yes hes very hyper.. newsday ran an article a few months ago about how many shelters have puggles now b/c people arent able to handle them b/c of the hyperness. We find if we get him out and play alot, then he calms himself down. Plus we give him empty soda bottles, he goes nuts with those, but once the plastic gets raggy looking we toss.

My Pug was hyper until he was about 3 years old. They have an insanely long puppy phase.

My puggle is hyper only when my husband comes home. I am home all day. He is not that bad. He sleeps most of the day away.
