PLEASE...Pray for Boozer*UPDATED AGAIN*
I havn't posted that I got a new puppy, but we got him in the end of September. He's only 6 months old right now, and last night at a checkup, the vet heard a heart murmur. They said that they had to keep him in the hospital overnight, and do lots of testing in the morning (today). I am sooo upset. They just took him away without warning. He probably thinks we just left him.
They will be doing an EKG, sonogram, X-rays, bloodwork, and lots of other things...poor baby.
Please say a prayer that it's not serious. He's such a happy puppy.

**UPDATE**
Boozer has to stay another night. They said that they are taking it slow since he is a bulldog puppy, and would like to watch him overnight. I guess they want to moniter his breathing because of the anestesia. I'm so upset. The vet said that the preliminary diagnosis is an aortic something (my boyfriend called to get the info, and he doesnt remember) . They are prepping him right now for a sonogram and will continue testing until they find out what the problem is. We can call again at 7:30, and if he is up and about, we can visit him for a bit. I just dont understand...He seemed fine, and is such a happy and active puppy. Please continue to pray for him, and that it's nothing serious. Thanks for reading.
**UPDATED AGAIN 1/17**
I spoke to the vet late last night and he said that Boozer has pulmonic stenoisis. I don't think it's severe, but we will take him to a specialist just to make sure. If it's just a mild case, then we will leave it be, and watch for any symptoms. Many dogs go on with a mild case and are fine. Hopefully that's the case and no surgery would be needed.
I'm picking him up at 3:30, and I can't wait!!
I'm really curious to see what the bill is going to be though. When we got an estimate the fist night it was $1300+!! Although I was not happy with the way they handled my pet, and how they were quick to take him away and just stick us with this bill, I am happy that we finally know what's wrong and that they caught it. Thanks for all your responses.

omg how cute is he!!
i hope the doc has good news for ya. my parent's dog has level 3 murmur i believe....the docs say its very loud...and he's been able to live a happy life with it!

My boston terrier has a heart mumur (a mild one) and he's been living a totally normal life. It has never effected him. He's 3.5 yrs old.
I hope Boozer comes home soon

Hope he comes home soon. I responded to your psot about vet recommendations. Please, if you don't feel comfortable there - go get a 2nd opinion. My perfectly healthy cat, aside from vomitting up his food - our old vet made us feel like if we brought him home he might die and wanted to admit him and do exploratory surgery that same night to biopsy all of his organs after seeing a blurry xray. $$$$$$$$$ I said no way, no how, he is not "sick" and we left and went to a new vet and she's amazing. She took an xray and saw nothing, when the other doctor said there may be a foreign object. She said he is perfectly healthy, and we tried a few medications, and then a sonogram, and he is on his way to getting better now. The stress of exploratory surgery would have deteriorated his health and was not necessary at all. Trust your gut and don't just assume they know everything!

I'm glad you have a diagnosis...as far as being mad at the vet, the best way for them to really find out what is wrong with the animal is through constant monitoring. That can only be done in the vet's office.
Trust me, I know - after spending $2500 on our cat last month.
