I'm totally PO'd & I need help kinda quickly
I'll try to give you the short version. Once again DH & I are excluded from knowing what is going on in his daughter's life(she'll be 14 on Sunday & lives mostly with her mother, goes to school there). So last night DSD calls DH during Idol in a panic because she wants to know if our fax machine is on because she has to fax something to us. You see she's going to high school next year & apparently the deadline to place a family ad/greeting for her in this year's yearbook was January 11th. We expressed interest in doing this for her but naturally we were never given any dates, the form or any info of any kind. I check the school website myself often in an attempt to keep us in the loop but there was nothing posted there about the yearbook. So now she's frantic because if I fill out the form & fax it back to her & email her a picture, her Mom will bring it to the school today(its already several days late which irks me beyond belief). Not to mention we have not had anytime to discuss or even think of what we'd like to write or what picture we'd use. So DH feel asleep during Idol, Left for work before the sun came up & now I'm here trying to handle this & I'm supposed to be getting this to DSD within the next hour or two. I HATE BEING TREATED LIKE AN OUTSIDER, I HATE THAT WE ARE ALWAYS THE LAST TO KNOW EVERYTHING, I hate having to scramble around in a constant competition to be good parents when the game isn't played fairly!!!!!!
So now my question for all you moms & teachers-what do people write in this things these days? Would a baby picture be good?

Former yearbook advisor here
I would definitely use a baby pic and maybe a more current pic as well, if that's an option. Many of my students' families did that.
I don't have any of the yearbooks I was advisor for home with me but I do have my old ones.
Here are some...
"Best wishes for a bright future to our daughter, Jane. Love,
"Congratulations Kim. May success be your constant companion. Love, "
You could do the Irish Blessing...
Jane A. Smith Thank you for all of the joy you have given us. Love, "
"To our beautiful daughter, Jane. May your future be as bright as your smile! Congratualtions on your graduation. All of our love, "
"Congratualtions to Jane and the Class of 2008. Today we share your memories of special dreams come true and we share, too, your bright new dreams, of joys you'll know, of ways you'll grow, of all you're yet to be"
"Dear Jane, Whatever bright adventures each moment brings your way, give it your best and you'll fulfill the challenge of today! We are so proud of you. Love,
I hope that helps. If you need more they might have some quotes on-line about success or graduation
Good luck.
