I actually got it using my credit card rewards points.  I checked about a month ago and it was $100 more than it's listed for now... We live in a small house and I thought it would perfect for our living room. Plus we thought it would be good to bring out on the patio for the summer when we have people over or are outside.

DH has been listening to music since we set it up and it really does sound great. I thought it was kind of $$$ but when I saw it listed in our perks points I ordered it on the spot. We were going to get a GPS system around Christmas but by the time I logged on to get it w/ our points it was already gone. I'm kind of glad now b/c it enabled us to get this and i know we'll get a lot more use out of this!!!

you girls do know there are devices that can hook up to your tv/stereo.computer that can stream music from your computer or an mp3 player?
I found this speaker to be very big and depending on the setup in your living space, it may be out of place.
JMHO
Currently, i have a computer dedicated to being a media center which is hooked up the the stereo and I can see any picture, video and play music in my library... any questions, feel free to ask..

Of course- mine didn't cost me a cent though and it may be tall but it's thin so it'll work its way into my house just fine. Also, I have a stereo system but I like that I can plug this in on my back deck and listen to music outside during BBQs and such if I want to.
I have a media center computer also but it's in my back bedroom which is no where near my deck.
