ballet flats
i just bought the cutest pair on sale at macys...but can i wear them in the winter? do i wear knee highs w/them?? I hate knee highs, they remind me of my mom....or really thin trouser socks? and if so what color, black or nude? The shoes are black. Where do I get such a sock?

I have them in black suede and black leather and I wear patterned trouser socks in black or black fishnets. I've gotten them both at Macy's, but CVS also has them

It has to be a pretty decent day out for me to wear them, but I do wear them with nothing. I dont wear stocking
or knee highs.

I have flats, not ballet flats, and I wear then sans anything or with a pair of coordinating argyle socks. Hate hoisery.

I don't wear them in the winter. If it is a really nice day out and not too too cold i would wear them without any socks or knee highs.

Yes, so does the gap and jcrew. That's what I get mine from. And, I do wear my ballet flats during the winter with my trouser socks and tights if am wearing a dress or skirts. It all depends on my mood.

I have been wearing mine (they're grey) with knee highs. I wore them in the summer & fall barefoot.

i actually wear mine all the time, even if it's cold out, usually with no socks, but if it's freezing, i will wear patterned socks.

i wear them all the time! i wish i could wear them w/o hoisery, but it's part of the dress code. Depending on what pair i'm wearing, i wear either knee highs- they have funner ones now at target... they have a slight fishnet/mesh feel to them, or else nude or black trouser socks or some patterned socks (if i'm not wearing patterned shoes), or, with tights if you're wearing a sweater dress.
