any Dell laptop owners??

DH and I are looking to get a new computer.. we own a Dell desktop and was looking into getting a laptop now.. seems like its so much easier..

any recomondations?? i see the new color ones.. any good?? TIA!!

I have a Dell Latitude D820. LOVE it. My FIL got it to use at the business, and then when he didn't need it for one reason or another, he gave it to me and it works great. DH runs work programs on it, I have my iTunes on it, my thousand's of digital pictures, etc...

My son has a dell laptop inspiron 1501, he loves it.

my laptop is almost 2 years old -- inspiron 6000 -- and still runs perfectly!

I ordered mine over the summer and it took ridiculously long to get my order shipped. It was right when the new colored ones came out and they customer service was terrible.
I got mine in brown (nothing special) and it works okay. It still has it's hang-ups which is frustrating to me.
I am not versed in computers, but I was told Dell was good for the $$.

You can buy Dell in WalMart and Staples now, so myabe yo ucan give that a try. Good luck!

I have a Dell inspiron 1120 its 4 years old and still runs great!

I have 2 dell laptops. I just had to fight with them to replace the battery on one of them, because the extended battery that I paid for, was not holding the charge for 6-8 hours...and I was lucky if I got 2 hours if not on AC power.

I did get my new battery, and I'm happy with the laptop overall...but I am not happy with the customer service.

ETA: The laptop/battery is less than 1 year old, so it should not have lost the ability to charge that quickly.

i agree with some of you with the service... they are not that great...
but the computers are!!

once i had to call and try to resolve a problem with the cd burner...
all they could tell me was.. "just try to turn the computer on and off" im like ok that was SO helpful!!

I have a dell lap top. I got it for xmas in 2006. I love it! I have no idea what model I got, but it has a DVD player in it, it's widescreen, and it's black.

I use a Dell laptop at work, D400, which works great. Never an issue and I'm on it allllll daayy.

I have a Dell desktop at home. Works fine, but honestly...if I had to do it over again, I'd buy a Mac.

I have A DELL Latitude D610 for work. I am on it 8 hours plus a day. It works good. It is about 2 years old now.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1000. Had it for like maybe 2 years and it works great. Only had to send it in to Dell once because something was loose inside and the computer kept shutting off everytime you moved it and sometimes it wouldn't go on. I sent it to Dell for repairs and had it back withing 3-4 days. It was quick...
