the girls are 14 and 17
the mom goes out to work all day, the dad goes out all day

Re: SuperNanny

I wish they would show at the end that all the kids are in state care because of their neglectful parents

How did it turn out? I missed it.
It looked like things had improved (the parents were doing more chores, the mom was taking care of the boys in the am, the girls had a room in the house to go on the computer to "school," they were supposed to hire a babysitter for the afternoons, but at one point the girls were saying that the mom was only acting like she agreed because of the cameras and it was going to back to the old schedule when the show was over. I would love to see an update a few months later. It was seriously so sad the way the parents were exploiting the girls and saw nothing wrong with it. At one point the mom said she didn't want them "walking all over" her & the dad because of the show.

Re: SuperNanny
This episode really upset me. Those parents are horrible. I think it could be considered child abuse.
How dare those parents not hire a nanny/babysitter for the young ones. I couldn't believe the mom's attitude and how she was totally fine with her 2 daughters doing all the chores, taking care of all the boys, and basically running the house.
At one point when the mom was sitting on the couch and telling Joe she gives up, while her daughters a busy tending to the kids (and everything else for that matter) I wanted to punch her out.

Re: SuperNanny
My heart broke for those 2 girls. The sadness in their faces.
It amazes me how the parents (moreso the mother) see no wrong in their behavior and choices.
I missed the last 10-15 minutes, so I'm kind of curious how things turned out. Something tells me things haven't changed in that household. The mom seems to have deep issues that I don't think Supernanny can resolve and I don't mean that in a sarcastic way. The mother definitely needs therapy to help her see what she's doing to those poor kids.
BTW, does anybody know who contacted Supernanny? Did they say if it was the kids or the parents? I find it difficult to believe the parents would be the ones to contact the show.

The girls sent in the video to SN. SN called out the parents on it too. She couldn't believe how the mom and dad were sitting there acknowledging that there was a problem and yet the daughters sent in the video for help.
You also see the girls saying that the parents said that once the cameras were gone, the rules would be back into place. You would think that seeing your daughter the way she looked (the poor girl looked malnurished and exhausted) and seeing her pass out from clearly the build up would be a wake up call, but apparently not.
It's so sad.
That woman is a pathetic human being.

Re: SuperNanny
just saw this today. Question...why did the girls not attend public school? To watch the boys? Regardless of what we saw when it ended happy or sad...I think she should have CPS follow this family for the next few months. How dare them use their children to watch their little ones. Made me laugh when he said "hire a babysitter"...Ummm hello...why didnt you pay your girls. Where were they from?
