SIL vent
I would just like to apologize to everyone in advance for my ranting but I need to get it off my chest. DH and I spend every new years eve at his parents house. This year his sister who lives out of state came to visit with her husband and 6month old baby.
His parents have a spare room which they gave to his sister, while we slept on the pull out in their living room. I have absolutely no problem with them getting the room. I do however have a major problem with them going to bed leaving me and DH to help his parents clean up after dinner until 2am so that way they can get enough rest for when the baby wakes up early the next morning. Only problem is that instead of getting up with the baby they decide to sleep in and let my inlaws take care of the baby and they are playing with him in the dining room which is right off the same room we are sleeping in.
I just find it extremely rude and then his sister has the nerve to laugh at the fact that we are up so early because HER child was crying.
End of vent. Again, thanks for listening.

Re: SIL vent
wow is your SIL mine? My SIL used to do the same thing, except we would be the ones taking care of the baby at our ILs house b/c she would send them into our room to wake US up if I wanted to be woken up by a child I would have my own.
