can your dog catch your virus?
so my entire family has been sick with the stomach virus that has been going around between my husband and 2 sons and myself we are all still a bit green but my lab liberty has been throwing up as well all day today so i was wondering is it possible that she could have this too? What can I do for her?

I don't believe your dog can catch your virus. My vet told me that.
Slowly give her ice cubes to replenish the fluid lost during vomiting. And take her to the vet.

No. But a dog and cat can catch pink eye and ringworm from humans and vice versa.
Ferrets can transmit cold germs to humans and vice versa too.

Thank you... poor Liberty does not want to eat she is not throwing up anymore but she is not herself. I ccalled the vet and of course they are closed today but left a message.
Should I bring her to the Vet Hospital or can I wait til tomorrow to go to her vet.
Gosh.. I wish she could talk and let me know how she feels

Is she still vomiting? Is she keeping any fluids down? If no fluids are being kept down and it has been over 24 hours, I would probably take to an emergency vet.
