Christmas gift too small in the bust!

My mother in law got me a really nice maternity blouse, but when I tried it on I couldn't pull it over my boobies. I was afraid I was going to rip it. I want to exchange it, but my MIL never includes gift receipts (I hate when people give clothes with no receipt). I want to exchange it and the sewed in tag is Motherhood and the paper tag attached says Destination Maternity. Where can I go to exchange this blouse? I'm afraid if I tell my MIL that the small size blouse was too small she'll buy me medium stuff the rest of my life and it will all be too big! I thought Maternity clothes were supposed to go by your pre-preg size? I've never been a Medium pre-preg, always small and even x-small? Guess my chest has other plans. DH isn't complaining about that!

I don't buy that pre-preggo size crap - maybe in the very beginning, but def. not now.
I was always a size 2 or 4 in pants and XS, S in tops. I am DEF. not worthy of small pants or tops these days. I get medium pants - some are a tad baggy but I'd rather that then snug on the butt. And my bust size is now 36DD - that's not XS!

Anyway, I would see if you can find the top on the Destination Maternity site. They carry Motherhood items, but you can also exchange directly at Motherhood.

Should be able to return it at Mimi Maternity or Destination Maternity or Motherhood. I was told they're all the same from an employee at Mimi Maternity.
