Skinny Calf boots?
I have too skinny legs (wish the rest of me would match)...and I can't seem to find boots that fit around my calves - they are always way too big. Does anyone know where one could find boots that won't look ridiculous?

Re: Skinny Calf boots?
I just read about this in InStyle - if calf or knee length boots are too big, stick to ankle boots.

how unfair. why must we suffer because designers change the cut? i LOVE knee high boots and refuse to wear ankle. thankfully i have a few pairs from previous years that fit well on the calves but have no choice but to alter the newer ones.

I too have really skinny calves and have yet to find a good pair. There is a place that makes them but they are way too expensive. the only way that these type of boots can work for me is if I wear them over jeans.

Ok, stupid question, but can you actually get them altered at a shoemaker? I did get a pair for Christmas that I love and don't want to return, but they don't fit...this could be my solution, if its actually possible?!

I had a tailor do this for me a few years ago. He did a nice job.
I saw boots in Coach that have a buckle at the calf that you can adjust. They do make boots that are adjustible or have some elastic that stretches to accommodate larger and smaller calves.
For ex, I just bought these (in black and brown, leather and suede) b/c they are awesome for this very reason.
But I also ordered (and returned for other reasons) these. They had elastic that stretched at the calf
If you shop on www.zappos.com, you can find out the circumference of a boot's calf area. They give all the important details to help find the right boots. Through zappos, I have recently found boots by La Canadienne that have good stretch for those with slim calves. Very good quality boot.

Re: Skinny Calf boots?
The only high boots I have been able to wear are just the plain strech ones. I also don't like the ankle boot.

absolutely. although it is not cheap ($60) any experienced shoemaker/repair shop can alter boots.
