My brother (this was last year but bizarre enough that it should be posted anyway) rec'd a SQUIRREL feeder and a box of oreos  from his GF's family (they did a secret santa)... he was seeing and living with her so they were "serious" - they dated for three years and lived together for one and that is what the secret santa who turned out to be her brother got him. It was the weirdest thing I have ever seen and to put the feeder and OREOS together was even weirder!
ok...i was trying to find a "witty" connection among the feeder and the Oreos...needless to say, I couldn't! (Which makes it even funnier in my head!!  )

16 pairs of socks from my Grandmother...16 PAIRS and the UGLIST ornament EVER! She is a HORRIBLE gift giver. Mom bought our featherbed and put her and my grandfathers name on it....loh I almost forgot a kangaroo wallet...yes a KANGAROO wallet. I threw up a little in my mouth and fought back the anger since she KNEW I DID NOT want it!!!

my mom who is a total do-gooder but is whacky got me a bunch of great stuff and then I open a box & inside is a totally sexy black nighty & a sexy robe that is sheer its almost fredricks of hollywood style.
first off, we are the heat misers & there is no way I'd be strutting around in that freezing my fat arse off-when i said i needed PJs I meant warm comfy ones
secondly if she's hinting that she wants us to have a baby its NOT happening
thirdly I had to open it in front of my DH, my 20 year old son who was horrified & his new girlfriend-i can only imagine her thoughts, my 13 yr old stepdaughter who was totally grossed out, my 82 yr old grandma & my mom who was beaming & her jerkoff boyfriend that kept saying "try it on"

sometimes I think my mother needs her head checked.

As each person opened their gifts my dad and his brothers were screaming out things like

Harry & David Pears. Two of them in a small box. Even though I know the guy who gave it to me, he couldn’t really explain it to me.
Although I personally think that the Harry and David gifts are somewhat impersonal - I did get 2 towers this year and I have to say the pears are amazing! Have you tried them yet?
I'm not a Pear fan. I gave them to my dad and he loved them

One roll of film from my MIL. She bought a 3 pack and divided it evenly between us. (This was before digital cameras) I thought it was a preview to the real gift, maybe a camera. NOPE! In all honesty, she does give us money too, but it was weird

OMG!
i dont drink and neither does DH (too much anyways) but for some reason my aunt gave us a travelling wine tote carrier. its like a mini backpack fridge that chills the wine and even has room for 2 wine glasses! just seemed so bizarre that she would think i would like this.
then you have to do the old "oooooh wow, thanks so much" stupid grin!!!!
