We are moving!
No house yet - another apartment in Queens. We are moving up in the world though.....we are going to be in a building with laundry facilites in the basement and we are within walking distance of train station. BIG change for us since we are used to going to the laudromat and taking a bus to the train.
The kitchen and bathroom are brand new. The whole place is hardwood floors and freshly painted! Image Attachment(s):

Ahh. let me count the ways. The other tenants, in particular the ones right below us, are so loud that our apartment literally shakes from the noise (I'm not exaggerating!), the heat is so high that we need to sleep with the AC on all year round...we can't open the windows because it's so noisy outside that we'll never get to sleep. In general, we're just not happy and are starting to look for a new place soon since our lease is up in March. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

What a coincidence! We are leaving for the exact same reason!!!! Our neighbors. They are the most obnoxious people on the planet. Our apt literally shakes when they slam the doors and walk. They purposely bang things on the floor all day and night, they move furniture and vacuum all night (they have no rugs!) They are rude and insane and we couldnt take it anymore!
It stinks that we had to leave because of them - but we are moving on to bigger and better things. I am sure the same will happen for you.

have you told your landlord? We told our landlord last night and he told us that the same thing happened with the tenants before us!
We've complained repeatedly to the building management (we're in a complex) and my DH even went downstairs to try to reason with these people, but nothing seems to change. It will stop for a little while and then everything goes back to the way it was. We're sicking of paying a small fortune in rent in an apartment that we can't even relax in! It's so frustrating...I'm sure you understand!

I understand completely. We tried to reason with them too but they think they own the place. Well our landlord has had it with constantly losing good tenants because of them so he is going to kick them out. I am glad we will be gone when that happens!
