Because she is 16, and that is a prime time for the women body to get pregnant. You are at your peak of fertility around that point. Also unfortunately life isn't fair.

Well of course there is always certain circumstances to my statement and yes 23 should be a prime time as well. Sorry you are having problems at 23.

Well of course there is always certain circumstances to my statement and yes 23 should be a prime time as well. Sorry you are having problems at 23.
I wouldn't say I'm having "problems" per se... but it is taking longer than I had anticipated! We're on month #4, cycle #3 and I'm pretty sure I'm out this month again.

OMG that is the first thing I heard on the news this morning and that is EXACTLY what I thought....
The Spears sisters are the most fertile chicks on the planet!!!
It's funny how evolution has not caught up with the changing times yet. WOMEN ARE NOT HAVING CHILDREN AT 16 ANYMORE (Well at they ususally aren't trying to)!!!!

That was exactly my point.. Our bodies are still designed (again not everyone) that conceiving is easily done at a younger age.. But society doesn't accept it. It is proven that your changes of conceiving significantly decline in your mid to late 20's.

i feel the same way!  i also have to ask why my DHs cousin who recently started dating his girlfriend is fathering her child!!! I'm guessing it wasn't planned- It stinks that i can't be happy for people anymore. he hasn't been dating her very long and DH and I have been married going on 4 years and together for almost 11! Shouldn't that be us instead of theM?

My nurse in L&D told me over & over that she always sees the younger girls have easier pregnancies & labors because our bodies are really designed for it. I guess it does make some sense & there probably is truth to it in some cases.
I don't exactly feel bad for Jamie-Lynn. Many women have children at that age (including myself), except without all of the money & special treatment.
