I watched out of boredom. Not too bad. I think Patti's choir rocked the house!
Why did Bolton only have that ONE guy sing the WHOLE time? I think they will go tomorrow, not good.
It seemed like one singer and all his "groupies" around him. Looked ridiculous.

I loved Patti LaBelle's choir. They were a whole different level of amazing. I was hoping that the guy (Frank?) would have had a solo - but I think they'll stick around long enough to see that happen.
Nick's choir was decent too. The group was talented - but there was something missing in the arrangement - it felt like they were on simmer the whole time and never really got to the BANG!
I thought Kelly's was 'eh' - I think it would have been better if it were a different song. The other 2 were hardly tolerable at all. Especially Michael Bolton's. The first minute was like a solo performance and I thought it was funny that the guy had the same kind of scratchy voice as Bolton. It was almost like he arranged it as though he were arranging back up singers for one of his own shows or something. I was NOT a fan in the slightest.
I think I may have missed something - it seemed weird that GE chose Blake's military families charity to give 250K to on the first night. Did they offer the money to all the choirs or just his?

I fell asleep before it was over, so I missed the last two. Of course, I liked Nicks Chior - Kelly's was good too.

My understanding is that the donation was to a different military charity, not the one Blake selected. I could be wrong, though.

I agree. I don't know why only one guy was singing. Kind of silly IMO.
I mean he had a great voice and all, but, it;s not American Idol..It's a group effort..Not individual!
I LOVE how the money goes to charity. That is awesome.
