I really enjoyed it! Will Smith did a grat job carrying the movie on his own. There were certain parts that I thought could be done better but overall, it was a definite must see movie!!

NYC doesn't get destroyed, its a bad virus outbreak that happends and hurts the people, I understand what your saying though all these crazy things in movies always happends in NYC!

Soooo awesome!!!!! And YES! It was a little scary. Man.....Will Smith was buffed up for this movie! He was looking goodddddd  Even with a little gray hair

There was also a preview before the movie started that does show NYC being attacked/destroyed. Wt eff is up with that lately? I thought the same thing.
It's not completely gone, there are many major NYC icons destroyed though.
I thought it was... pretty good but not out-of-this-world. I cried too, although only once and not at the part you might expect. (no spoiling it)
The end was a bit weak to me, almost too abrupt. I was definitely scared at certain parts but I think they could have made it a little bit longer.

the movie you are talking about is Cloverfield -- they had a trailer for it when Transformers came out and it was a big thing on the internet cause until recently, the name of the film was kept secret and they finally issued a new trailer with a name.
It comes out on Jan. 18 i believe--and the trailer shows the status of liberty's head landing in the middle of NYC!

DH and I saw this last night!! I loved it (this is totally my type of movie!) and DH thought it was good but not great.
And Will Smith looked hot which was a total bonus!!

See and when we went to see it the whole theater stood up and clapped in the end--lol I loved the ending, it was perfect.

Oh, I thought the commercials show a bridge being blown up, Brooklyn I think. I guess because I live right over the BB and use it alot, that scene really sticks in my head. Glad to hear the city does not get destroyed.
Yes, the bridge is the only thing that gets hit in the movie, I think some people are getting this movie confussed with Cloverfield which is coming out in January.
