So embarassed!
I get this phone call at work. Customer says, I got a quote...wanted to discuss further about it. Quote was from -Name- (not me).
I answer back, shes out to lunch, can I have her call you back? (as Im pulling up quote in system, I see it and the name....its a male name).
Says sure, SO I ask...is this his wife? Customer says, what?
I said, Wife or mother? (voice was very female)
The customer says, its me.
I know..I sound weird on the phone.
Okay I was mortified.....because it apparently was HIM.
Im having my coworker clarify this!
Update: Coworker called HIM back and yes it was definitely a HIM!!!

This happened to me a few times when I was working in cutomer service. It's always SO embarassing.
But I'm sure you weren't the first one to ever say that to him!
